The MySchoolwork website and app link have been created with you in mind. Our vision is to bring you a website that is relevant to supporting you in a new E-commerce and business growth opportunity.
Please take some time to read through our Teacher Policy.

Accepting these Terms
By registering as a Teacher on the MySchoolwork website and opening your lessons in the online school, you are automatically agreeing to comply with these Terms. These Terms set out your rights and responsibilities as a MySchoolwork Teacher and are a legally binding contract between you and Digitext Trading (Pty) Ltd, hereafter referred to as MySchoolwork.

Amendment of Terms
We may at times amend these Terms. Your continued use of mySchoolwork’s services following the changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
Any amendments to the Terms will be effective from the time they are posted on the MySchoolwork website. It is your responsibility to familiarize yourself with these Terms and review any amendments.

Registration as a Teacher
1. REQUIREMENTS WHEN REGISTERING AS A TEACHER
In order to register as a Teacher on MySchoolwork, open your online profile and make use of the services provided by mySchoolwork you must meet the following requirements:
You must be 18 years or older; You must have a selected profile name, your business does not need to be registered but you must select a name for your profile; You must have a business or have been teaching at a school that services South African residents;
If you will be opening an online profile you are required to have a valid South African bank account. This is in order to receive payouts from MySchoolwork.
2) REGISTRATION COSTS & BENEFITS
There is a fee to register as a Teacher on the mySchoolwork platform and create a Teacher profile.
Registering as a Teacher will give you access to all your Teacher benefits on the mySchoolwork website including your Teacher profile, dashboard and the ability to open a profile and sell your products or courses and service voucher listings on the mySchoolwork Online.
Registering as a Teacher does not include any advertising benefits on the mySchoolwork social media platform. If you intend to make use of the social advertising options you will need to subscribe to these separately.
3) COMPLETION OF REGISTRATION AND ACCOUNT NOTIFICATION
You must provide accurate, current and complete information about yourself and your school or business during registration. This data will be used in your Teacher profile and therefore all information needs to be correct. You are responsible for maintaining and updating your information as and when necessary. If you update your information on your Teacher profile you will also need to inform mySchoolwork of any changes done by email.
You may not impersonate any person or use a name you are not legally authorized to use; doing so will be a criminal offence which we will immediately report to the authorities when we become aware of the issue.
The registration will be complete once your registration form with all accompanying business information has been successfully submitted.
Once the registration is complete you will receive an automatic email notification to the provided email address. This email will provide you with a link to the Teacher guide which will give you all the information you need to know on the next steps on how to set up your Teacher profile, open and manage your online profile and other Teacher tips. If you do not receive this email please contact us at info@mySchoolwork.co.za so that we can send you this very important & useful guide.
It can take up to 48 hours for your registration to be processed and for our accounts and admin departments to be informed of your new account.
As you are solely responsible for your account, your information provided on your account (including billing details) and all activity occurring on your account, we implore you to protect your account and password and avoid sharing your account details with other people.
Please notify mySchoolwork immediately should you notice any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account so that we take action immediately.
4) BUSINESS TYPES WITH SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Below are the business types that require special provisions in order to register successfully as a mySchoolwork Teacher.
4.1) NON PROFIT ORGANISATIONS
We allow all registered NPO’s to register free of charge on the MySchoolwork website and open their charity profile. This registration will include advertising benefits on the MySchoolwork social media platform.
With your charity profile on the MySchoolwork website, you will be able to request a Charity Donation Listing whereby our members will be able to donate their chosen amounts to your organization.
You will be able to advertise your organization on the MySchoolwork social media platform, however, all posts must strictly be about your NPO and cannot contain a request for monetary donations. You may direct our members back to your charity profile on the MySchoolwork website in order for our members to donate to your cause.
Please email us at info@mySchoolwork.co.za with your NPO registration details as well as a copy of your NPO certificate that includes your registration number so that we can issue you a discount voucher code in order for you to subscribe your organization to our advertising service free of charge.
4.2) SECOND BUSINESS
In your online profile, you may only provide services or products that are related to the business you are registered under. If you provide multiple offerings that are not directly related to each other then you will need to register a second business. You can register a second business at any time by creating a new membership account with the second business’ email address and details, and following the full registration procedure in order to set up a second Teacher profile. In the event that we become aware that you are providing unrelated products or services under one Teacher profile, we will inform you that you will be required to register a second business.
4.3) HEAD OFFICES WITH BRANCHES, REPRESENTATIVES, OR COACHES
All school structures that have a head office with branches, representatives or coaches in different areas must each register separate Teacher profiles as these are seen as separate schools. The head office may create a Teacher profile for the brand as a whole while each branch or representative can create Teacher profiles applicable to their area.
Setting up your Teacher Profile & Creating Profile Listings
In the Teacher guide that you will receive upon registration, there will be step by step instructions on how to set up your Teacher profile and open your profile.
It will be your responsibility to set up your own profile, list your products and/or services on the platform and keep your profile updated and managed correctly.
1) SETTING UP YOUR TEACHER PROFILE
The information you used during registration will be used inside your Teacher profile. You may edit this information while setting up your profile. Please ensure that all information used is accurate, current and complete as this information will be publicly visible to all members viewing your profile on the platform.
You will be required to set up your Teacher profile and complete all the required fields in order to publish your profile on the mySchoolwork platform. The required fields include your business details with your contact information and business address, a head and shoulder photo and biography.
Your Teacher profile will need to be set up with all the required fields before and published to the platform before you can create any profile listings, i.e. upload your courses or service vouchers to your online profile.
1.1) STEPS TO SET UP YOUR PROFILE AND OPEN YOUR PROFILE
If you will be opening a profile and creating listings for sale on the platform you will need to set-up a delivery method and provide us with your Payfast payment account details in order for your profile to be published.
1.2) STEPS TO ONLY SET UP YOUR PROFILE
If you will only be using the Teacher profile section and will not be making use of the profile feature, then you will need to indicate in the checkboxes in the profile tab of your Teacher dashboard, that you will not be selling and will not be requiring delivery.
2) PRODUCT AND SERVICE LISTING REQUIREMENTS
Once your Teacher profile is set up and has been approved and published, you will then be able to create profile listings. You create profile listings when you upload your product and service vouchers on the mySchoolwork platform. Your profile listings will need to meet the following requirements:
Your description must be accurate and not false, misleading, deceptive or fraudulent;
Your description cannot be forged, threatening, offensive or otherwise constituting harassment;
Your products and/or services must be reasonably fit for the purpose for which goods of that kind are commonly bought;
You are the legal owner of the product or service you are offering for sale on the Platform and you have the legal capacity to conclude the sale;
You will not hyperlink to, or include descriptions of goods and services that you are not offering for sale in your profile on the MySchoolwork website.
          You will not include any branding or watermarks on the imagery used for your profile listings;
Your listings are made in compliance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa and especially that of the Consumer Protection Act that became effective 1 April 2011.
3) PROFILE LISTING DESCRIPTION
You are required to give a detailed and accurate description of each of your product or service listings in your profile:
In order for our members to clearly understand what they are purchasing.
In order for your product or service to adequately correspond with the description that you have posted on your profile listing.
4) PUBLISHING YOUR TEACHER PROFILE & PROFILE LISTINGS
In order to submit your Teacher profile to be published on the platform, all required fields need to be completed. You can create profile listings for the platform only once your Teacher profile has successfully been published. Profile listings will also need all required fields to be completed before submittal to be published.
All new Teacher profiles, as well as product and service listings, will be reviewed by mySchoolwork before they are published on the Platform. If there are any issues with the information and/or imagery provided, we reserve the right to put your listing on hold until such time as it meets our specific requirements. We will notify you of the reason your listing has been put on hold and the adjustments that must be made for it to meet our requirements. Please note that this is for your own benefit so that we can ensure that your business and listings are presented as professionally as possible in order to maximize interest in your listings.
Please note that it may take some time for our admin to review your Teacher profile and profile listings and approve them to be published on the platform.
5) INELIGIBLE PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
If you attempt to list certain products or services on the mySchoolwork Online platform that we feel may present a risk to our community; are inconsistent with our values; are harmful to our members; or simply are not in the spirit of mySchoolwork, we reserve the right to prohibit you from listing the said items on the Platform or advertising them on the mySchoolwork social media platform. We can decide to not list one particular item from your profile or not allow you to register on the mySchoolwork platform at all.
The following items are prohibited or restricted on the MySchoolwork Online Platform or social media platform:
Any illegal products or services, items promoting illegal activity and highly regulated items;
Any products that are hateful or racially, sexually, ethnically or otherwise objectionable;
Any products that use copyrighted logos or imagery;
Alcohol, tobacco, drugs and drug paraphernalia;
Animal products or human remains;
Hazardous materials, firearms, explosives and weapons and items that could be of danger;
Pornography and mature content;
Food that is not packaged or does not comply with all laws governing the sale of food to consumers;
Any unsafe weight loss products;
Any directory-based advertising or any sales of business advertising space, including print and/or online;
Any products that you do not have the legal right to sell.
Policy decisions are complex. We consider many different and often divergent factors before coming to a decision about what is best for our community.
If you are uncertain that your product or service will be eligible to be listed, please email us at info@mySchoolwork.co.za before creating the listing, so that we can verify if your listing will be approved.
6) INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
We know that you have taken the time to properly describe your profile and profile listings and know how important these elements are to run a professional operation. This is why we have to insist that all wording and imagery used to be of original content.
All descriptions used must be of your own wording. All photographs used must be of your own products and must be taken by yourself or a professional photographer. No use of stock photography will be permitted.
At mySchoolwork we respect your intellectual property and as such we are committed to ensuring that any content that infringes on your intellectual property rights is removed from our website and all corrective actions are followed.
If you feel that content that you own or have rights to has been used on the mySchoolwork website without your express authorization, you can report this to mySchoolwork to be removed by completing a form to log a complaint.
If you post content that infringes on another person’s intellectual property, the procedure will be to remove the unauthorized content with a warning. We reserve the right to terminate your account if it is made clear that you repeatedly make use of other people’s intellectual property without their permission.
7) TRANSPARENCY
At mySchoolwork, we value transparency. Transparency means that you honestly and accurately represent yourself, your products or services and your business.
We may reach out to you at any time with a more detailed inquiry about your business. Please be prepared to provide additional details about your business. Please respond to any inquiries from us in a timely manner.
Our Platform is built on trust. Providing false, inaccurate, or misleading information is prohibited by our Terms of Use. If we find that you’re not being open and honest with us, we may suspend or terminate your account.
8) RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR CONTENT
You understand that you are solely responsible for your content and any listings you create. You represent that you have all necessary rights to your content and that you’re not infringing or violating any third party’s rights by posting it.
9) PERMISSION TO USE YOUR BRANDING
By posting profile listings on the mySchoolwork App Platform, you grant mySchoolwork a license to use your branding including your trademark, logo and wording for promotional purposes. We don’t claim any ownership of your branding, but we have your permission to use it as part of our platforming materials to help mySchoolwork function and grow. This will help us easily promote your profile listings and not infringe on any of your rights.

Managing your Profile
1) KEEPING YOUR PROFILE UP TO DATE
Once your profile has been set up and you have profile listings in the Platform you will need to ensure that you manage your profile correctly and keep all your inventory up to date.
1.1) LISTING PRICES AND DESCRIPTIONS
It will be your responsibility to keep your profile updated with relevant prices and make sure they are correct at all times. All products will be sold at the price stated on each profile listing.
All items listed in your profile must either be in stock or readily available. If you no longer sell or have a specific item in stock, you must either edit the inventory of the item indicating that there is no stock available or this item must immediately be removed from your profile.
1.2) MAINTAINING CURRENT DETAILS
It will be your responsibility to keep all your details accurate and current. This includes all business contact information, personal details, delivery and billing addresses and banking details.
If there are any changes to any of your details you must update them immediately inside your Teacher dashboard. You will also need to inform the MySchoolwork team of any changes by emailing your new details through to info@mySchoolwork.co.za.
2) RECEIVING ORDERS
When a mySchoolwork member purchases a product or services from your profile you will be notified via email of this new order. All the order details will also be visible inside your Teacher dashboard for you to view and complete the necessary steps for a successful delivery.
3) PROFILE SPECIFIC PROMOTIONS
As a Teacher, you may choose to run a promotion on items listed in your profile by either running a course discount or issuing coupons.
3.1) RUNNING A SALE
You may choose to run a sale by discounting your listing price/s by a certain percentage. You can run a sale on a single listing or multiple listings. You will have control over the time period for which you want your sales to run.
Sales are public and will be displayed to all members.
You can manage your sale listings from inside your Teacher dashboard. It will be your responsibility to manage your sale prices and scheduling of your sales, as all listings will be sold at the price displayed in your profile.
3.2) ISSUING A COUPON
You may create and distribute coupons at your discretion to the MySchoolwork members, which they can redeem for a discounted value in your profile. You will easily be able to create coupons inside your Teacher profile.
You can create coupons for all the listings you have in your profile or just for a particular listing. You may give a percentage discount or a Rand value discount. You will also be able to stipulate the time period for which the coupon is valid and how many coupons are available to be issued.
Coupons are not displayed publicly and you will need to issue these to your customers privately.
3.3) TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR YOUR PROFILE SPECIFIC PROMOTIONS
It is your responsibility to communicate the terms or limitations for promotions to the MySchoolwork members and your customers when sharing the details of your promotion.

4) HIDING YOUR PROFILE
In the event that you will be unable to manage your profile or complete orders for a period of time (for example, when you go on holiday) you can request to hide your entire profile from public visibility on the MySchoolwork Online Platform. You can email your request to hide your profile through to info@mySchoolwork.co.za and we temporarily remove your Teacher profile from the Platform. We will not remove your listings permanently but will ensure they are not searchable for our members. Once you are ready to proceed with orders again you let us know and we will reactivate your Teacher profile and return all your listings back on to the Platform.
Profile Policies
There are 2 separate policies that need to be considered, your Delivery Policy and your Refund Policy. MySchoolwork has set standard policies for both deliveries and refunds and these will be used if you do not insert your own policies.
1) DELIVERY POLICY
1.1) STATING YOUR DELIVERY POLICY IN YOUR PROFILE
MySchoolwork has set a standard delivery time of 10 working days after a completed order. If you require a longer processing time to complete your delivery, then you will need to state this in your delivery policy.
1.2) DELIVERY OPTIONS
You have 3 delivery options available of which you can select as many as are relevant to your profile. The delivery options include free local pickup, free delivery over a specific amount and a flat rate.
If you enable the free local pickup option then customers will be able to select to collect their orders from your address and not pay any delivery fees. It will be your responsibility to arrange collection times with your customers.
If you enable the free delivery over a certain amount option then you will be required to stipulate the amount required to be spent in your profile to qualify your customer to receive free delivery. If your customer spends the stipulated amount they will not pay any delivery fees.
If you do enable the flat rate option you will be required to select your standard flat rate/s. You can enable multiple flat rates for your customers to choose between making it easier to provide delivery via different methods and to different locations throughout South Africa.
If you do have a variety of listings where some require additional fees due to the fact they are more specialized or are larger in size, then you can create additional shipping classes. There are two extra shipping classes available, medium and large. Here you can set two levels of higher pricing which you can assign to these specific listings when uploading them to the Platform.
You will be required to charge an appropriate amount for your delivery and may under no circumstance inflate your prices.
1.3) MAKING DELIVERY OF YOUR ORDERS
You are responsible for all the scheduling and the delivery of completed orders to the purchasing member. Please keep in mind that you are responsible for making sure that your customer receives the product/s they have purchased from your profile.
All deliveries must be made in a timeous and professional manner, and you are required to promptly dispatch the products after they are sold. Prompt delivery means that each item is delivered within 10 working days of purchase unless you have specified otherwise in your delivery policy.
If in the event that you require additional time to complete the delivery of an order, you are obligated to communicate this to your customer and obtain your customer’s consent.
1.4) COMMUNICATION
An informed customer is a happy customer, therefore communication is key. You will need to make sure that you are constantly in contact with your customers and updating them on their delivery status. Once your delivery has been processed you will need to send them the details of the delivery including tracking numbers and delivery date.
1.5) NON-DELIVERY
In the unlikely event that an order does not arrive, be prepared to provide valid proof of delivery. Valid proof of delivery must show that the item was dispatched and that it was sent to the address provided on the MySchoolwork website.
Delivery to the wrong address is likely to result in a non-delivery case, so make sure to deliver to the address stated on the order on the MySchoolwork website.
If a buyer does not receive their order, they may file a case against your profile and you will be obligated to issue the customer a full refund.
2) REFUND POLICY
2.1) STATING YOUR REFUND POLICY IN YOUR PROFILE
MySchoolwork has set a refund policy that if products are returned within 14 days and are in their original condition and packaging, your customer can request a full refund. You are required to outline your refund policy in your MySchoolwork profile policy section if it differs from the refund policy that MySchoolwork has set out for your profile.
2.2) HOW DO REFUNDS WORK
MySchoolwork will not be responsible for any refunds. All inquiries, if any, will be redirected to you, and you will be expected to manage the situation professionally and amicably.
In the event you are required to issue a refund, you will be responsible to refund the final sales price that the customer paid for the order including delivery fees and transaction fees. You will not be entitled to claim any fees back from MySchoolwork.
2.3) SELLING AN OUT OF STOCK ITEM
If an out of stock product is sold and you will not be able to supply the customer with the products they have purchased, you will be liable to refund your customer immediately, regardless of whether or not you have yet received a payout for the sale.
In the event that you are able to order more stock of the product, you can communicate this with your customers and obtain their consent for any additional waiting time. If your customer declines the extra waiting time you will need to proceed with the full refund.
3) DISPUTES
As a MySchoolwork Teacher, you are expected to conduct yourself and your business dealings in a professional manner. This includes good communication with your customers and high-quality service. If a dispute arises, you agree to resolve the dispute directly with your customers amicably and professionally.
In the event that a dispute is escalated to MySchoolwork’s complaint system, MySchoolwork reserves the right to issue a refund to your customer if a transaction is found to violate MySchoolwork’s Terms of Use and Teacher Policy. MySchoolwork will then seek reimbursement from your payment account. Please refer to reimbursements inside the payments and fee schedule below.
We reserve the right to cancel your Teacher account if you do not resolve any disputes that are found to be in violation of MySchoolwork’s Terms of Use and Teacher Policy. Please refer to the Cancellation Section below for further details.
Payments and Fee Schedule
As a MySchoolwork Teacher, you will be allowed to create your own online profile within the MySchoolwork website in order for you to list, promote and sell your products and/or services. Below we will outline all the fees associated with your online profile as well as provide you with information about your payment account, also what happens in cases of fee avoidance and defaults on any advertising fees. MySchoolwork’s services are conditioned upon the fulfillment of your payment obligations.
1) PAYMENT ACCOUNT
In order to open a profile on the MySchoolwork Online Platform and create listings for sale, MySchoolwork has created a payment account with Payfast. Payfast is a payment gateway and by having a payment account we are able to will be able to accept all major credit cards, debit cards and instant EFTs for sales made on the MySchoolwork Platform.
All proceeds from course sales made through the MySchoolwork Platform (less MySchoolwork’s 10% transaction fee) will be transferred into your payment account. You will be required to submit your banking account once you create a course on our platform.
2) YOUR FEES
Below is an outline of the fees associated with your Teacher account. MySchoolwork’s services are conditioned upon the fulfillment of your payment obligations.
Unless otherwise stated, all fees are quoted in South African Rands and are inclusive of VAT.
2.1) REGISTRATION COSTS
We do charge fees to register as a Teacher on the MySchoolwork Platform and there are no monthly subscription fees related to being a Teacher on our website.
2.2) TRANSACTION FEE
MySchoolwork charges a per-transaction fee every time you make a sale in the Platform. A transaction fee of 10% will be levied on the total value of your course, including delivery fees.
You will need to take this transaction fee into account when submitting your product or service vouchers and delivery prices.
Payment of your Transaction Fees
When a student purchases something from your profile, MySchoolwork will deduct our transaction fee from the total amount of the sale and the remaining balance will be transferred into your payment account within 96 hours of a successful course order.
2.4) ADVERTISING FEE
MySchoolwork offers optional paid social advertising packages which will provide the benefit of advertising on the MySchoolwork social media platform. These subscription packages are only available to registered Teachers. It is entirely in your discretion if you wish to subscribe to any one of these packages.
3) CHARGING VAT
If your business is VAT registered you will responsible for collecting and paying any taxes and VAT associated with using and making sales through the MySchoolwork website. We will provide you with the option to input your VAT number. Please note that your listing price is VAT inclusive and you will need to include all VAT charges in the price you submit on all your profile listings and delivery fees.
4) REIMBURSEMENTS FROM TEACHERS
We reserve the right to obtain reimbursement of any amounts owed by you to MySchoolwork. You authorize us to retrieve these funds from the bank account you have logged in your Teacher dashboard.
We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to seek reimbursement from you as a Teacher in any of the following circumstances:
There has been a default on the debit order for your transaction or advertising fees and there is an outstanding balance due to MySchoolwork;
If in a particular circumstance we feel it warranted to provide a refund to one of your customers. These circumstances may include when a sale has been made without the course being available, the member did not promptly receive delivery of their course or if a valid refund request has not been honoured;
We discover erroneous or duplicate transactions related to an order from your profile;
5) FEE AVOIDANCE
MySchoolwork strictly prohibits any action by you as a Teacher to avoid paying certain fees. The following actions will be seen as fee avoidance:
Encouraging your customers to not purchase from your MySchoolwork profile and rather from a private channel. A transaction initiated on MySchoolwork must be completed on the MySchoolwork website.
The price displayed in each product or service voucher listing must be an accurate representation of your current pricing structure. You may not over inflate the prices of your listings on MySchoolwork to drive our members to seek better pricing from a private channel.
Charging excessive delivery fees on your MySchoolwork listings to encourage our members to seek better delivery fees from a private channel.
6) DECLINING TRANSACTIONS
MySchoolwork reserves the right to decline transactions that we believe to be high risk, fraudulent, or in violation of our Terms of Use and Teacher Policy.
Advertising
MySchoolwork encourages you to advertise your published Teacher profile with your online profile and all your product and service voucher listings on your available web and social media channels. However, in order to take advantage of the advertising benefits on the MySchoolwork social media platform, you will need to subscribe to one of MySchoolwork’s social advertising packages.
Rating & Review System
There is a rating and review system on the MySchoolwork website whereby any MySchoolwork member can rate your product or service directly inside your profile. By registering as a MySchoolwork Teacher and opening a profile you agree to have the rating and review system as part of your Teacher profile.
For more information about this system, its benefits to all Teachers and even some tips on how to improve your ratings, read the MySchoolwork Teacher Guide, which you will receive upon registration.
If you feel that you have received an unfair rating, or have been rated by a MySchoolwork member which you have had no prior dealings with or even if you have evidence of any abuse of the rating system, please contact us on info@mySchoolwork.co.za and we will investigate the matter. These investigations may take time and can be a lengthy process.
Please note that we cannot guarantee the outcome of this investigation and will only remove a rating if we feel it is absolutely necessary to do so. We feel it is very important to create an atmosphere of trust and honesty between our MySchoolwork members and Teachers with the rating and review system.
If we see that you as a Teacher are consistently getting below-average ratings and not performing up to the standard that our MySchoolwork members have come to expect, we reserve the right to close your Teacher account and your online profile.
Professional Business Practices
1) HOW TO CONDUCT YOURSELF AS A TEACHER
MySchoolwork connects our members with creative local businesses from all backgrounds. We aim to cultivate a community where we can inspire one another, build connections and create ongoing relationships around an entrepreneurial spirit. Most importantly we strive to ensure that everyone has a positive experience on the website.
We take pride in our MySchoolwork platform and want to create a professional business environment with trustworthy Teachers that offer great quality service and products. Therefore it is expected that all Teachers professionally conduct themselves in all dealings on the platform. If you as a Teacher become involved or partake in any unfavorable behaviour that negatively impacts another MySchoolwork member and/or Teacher and also effects the name of the MySchoolwork brand, we reserve the right to remove you as a MySchoolwork Teacher and close your profile.
2) ANTI DISCRIMINATION
You can’t discriminate based upon:
Race, colour, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic protected under applicable law.
3) PROHIBITED BEHAVIOUR
Examples of prohibited behaviour on MySchoolwork include, but are not limited to:
• Refusal of service based on membership in one or more protected group;
• Derogatory or demeaning remarks against protected groups listed above;
• Racial slurs;

Cancellation
1) CANCELLATION OF TEACHER ACCOUNT BY TEACHER
1.1) HOW TO CANCEL
In the event you decide to cancel your Teacher account and close your online profile, you will need to email us at info@mySchoolwork.co.za to inform us of your intention to cancel your account. Once we have received your email we will close your account and remove any of your listings from the Platform. Please note that once your Teacher account is cancelled your Teacher profile will not be visible on the MySchoolwork website.
1.2) CANCELLING WHEN YOU ARE SUBSCRIBED TO THE ADVERTISING SERVICE VIA AN AUTO-RENEW SUBSCRIPTION
You will be able to cancel your subscription at any time from the manage subscription tab inside your Teacher dashboard, this is located inside your profile tab.
As this is an auto-renew system it will be your responsibility to cancel your subscription before then next term begins. Once your next term begins you will not be entitled to cancel that term and request a refund of any remaining time on your contract. MySchoolwork cannot cancel your subscription on your behalf.
You cannot cancel your subscription if you have an outstanding balance due to mySchoolwork. Your cancellation will be logged but will only come into effect once all fees are settled.
1.3) CANCELLING WHEN YOU ARE SUBSCRIBED TO THE ADVERTISING SERVICE VIA A PREPAID CONTRACT
If you are subscribed to one of MySchoolwork’s social advertising packages via a prepaid contract, your cancellation will in effect suspend your advertising service. If your advertising service is cancelled you will not be entitled to a refund of any remaining time on your contract.
1.4) CANCELLING WHEN YOU ARE SUBSCRIBED TO THE ADVERTISING SERVICE VIA THE DEBIT ORDER FACILITY
If you signed up for one of MySchoolwork’s social advertising packages on an ongoing monthly basis before March 2020 then you will be on a monthly debit order contract with MySchoolwork. In this case you will need to follow the full cancellation procedure as outlined in your Debit Order Mandate. Closing your online profile on the MySchoolwork profile will not constitute a cancellation of your debit order contract, and you will continue to incur your monthly advertising fees.
1.5) TRANSFERRING OWNERSHIP
You may not transfer any of the rights and obligations of your MySchoolwork contract to any other person without our prior written consent.
In the event, you have sold your business and the new owner wants to continue with the contract under your current registration structure, you will need to inform MySchoolwork via email of the request to transfer ownership.
We will issue you an online form where you will be able to submit your request for transfer and supply us with all the new owner’s details. At this point, we will approve the transfer. MySchoolwork will inform the new owner of the process whereby they can register as a Teacher and accept the Teacher policy in their personal capacity.
Only once the new owner has accepted the Teacher policy will the transfer of ownership be successful and you will be released from your individual contract.
2) CANCELLATION OF TEACHER ACCOUNT BY MYSCHOOLWORK
MySchoolwork’s functionality may be made available, modified, or discontinued by us at any time without notice and is subject to the limitations in our Terms of Use and Teacher Policy.
2.1) ACCESS TO YOUR PROFILE
Once you are a registered Teacher you will have continued access to your Teacher account and online profile without any further monthly subscription fees.
Once a year MySchoolwork will send out an email notification whereby you will need to confirm your business details so that we can ensure your business is still operating and all your information is still accurate and current. If you fail to confirm your details we reserve the right to restrict access to your profile.
2.2) REASONS FOR CANCELLATION
The following instances will result in MySchoolwork cancelling your Teacher account, closing your online profile and removing all your listings from the Platform:
If we receive regular complaints about your business and the quality of service you provide;
If your inventory is not kept up to date and you are repeatedly found to sell a product on the Platform that is out of stock;
If your listing description is found to not be an accurate representation of the products or services you are selling;
If there is a case of non-delivery;
If your deliveries are repeatedly received after the stated delivery time and we receive complaints about your delivery service or your communication updates regarding deliveries;
If we receive regular complaints that you are not abiding by your refund policy and honoring your refund requests;
If you are behind in your advertising fees and have an outstanding balance owed to MySchoolwork;
If you use your profile in any other manner than outlined in this Teacher Policy or for the sales of any other products or services that are not directly related to the business you have registered with MySchoolwork.
If your behaviour as a Teacher brings the MySchoolwork’s name into disrepute.

1) ENDORSEMENT
MySchoolwork acts as a platform and therefore does not endorse, approve or represent any of the content including business services and/or products, statements, information, data, opinions or advice provided by the Teachers and members of the MySchoolwork website.
2) TEACHER BUSINESS CONDUCT AND SERVICE PROVIDED
This website’s creators and administrators have no liability whatsoever pertaining to any actions or transactions originating or deriving from conducting business as a Teacher on the MySchoolwork website. MySchoolwork is solely a platform for you to be able to promote your school, your courses and sell your products and services, therefore all transactions are at your own risk.
MySchoolwork will not be held responsible for any bad service or poor quality products received and is not obligated to participate in dealing with any complaints made against you as a Teacher unless done so at our own discretion.
3) MEMBER OPINIONS
MySchoolwork provides directions for the use of the website but does not control the actions or opinions of the members and therefore will not be held responsible for the conduct of any MySchoolwork members or Teachers.
4) AMENDMENT TO THE SERVICES PROVIDED
We reserve the right in our sole discretion to alter or remove any services offered. In the event that we introduce a new service, any fees for that service will take effect from the launch of that service, unless otherwise stated.
5) RELEASE
You release MySchoolwork and the entirety of our staff of any claims, damages, losses and expenses of any kind relating to a dispute with any MySchoolwork member or a third party in every circumstance. Under no circumstances will you hold MySchoolwork or any of the MySchoolwork staff liable for any infringement of your intellectual property rights, loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of operation time, corruption or loss of information or data and/or loss of contracts resulting from your use of or inability to use the website or the website materials.
6) DISCLAIM WARRANTIES
MySchoolwork disclaims all warranties of any kind, either express or implied. No oral or written information provided by us shall create a warranty, nor shall you rely on any such information or advice.
These Terms shall be solely and exclusively governed by, construed and interpreted in accordance with the law of the Republic of South Africa.
